OUR STORY
From a Mission to a Parish Home.
The story of St. Rose of Lima is a story of faith, perseverance, and a growing Catholic community. What began with the celebration of Mass for Catholics in the Poinciana area grew into a mission and eventually a vibrant parish serving families from many cultures and backgrounds.

OUR PATRONESS
St. Rose of Lima
A Life of Prayer, Service, and Love for the Poor
Born Isabel Flores de Oliva in Lima, Peru, in 1586, St. Rose of Lima developed a deep love for Christ from an early age. Inspired by St. Catherine of Siena, she became a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic and devoted her life to prayer, penance, and service to those in need.
Rose cared for the poor and sick, welcoming those in need into her family's home. Her life united a profound love of God with compassionate service to her neighbors.
She died in 1617 at the age of 31 and was canonized in 1671, becoming the first canonized saint born in the Americas.

Her example continues to inspire our parish today. St. Rose reminds us that faith is lived not only in prayer, but also in loving service to our neighbors—especially the poor, the sick, and those who hunger.
