Welcome to Faith Formation at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. We partner with parents and families to help children and adults encounter Jesus Christ, grow in their Catholic faith, and prepare to receive the Sacraments.

FIRST COMMUNION
For children preparing to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time.
Children grow in their understanding of God's love, the Mass, prayer, forgiveness, and the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist as they prepare to celebrate the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Who is it for? Baptized Catholic children who have not yet received First Holy Communion.

Whether your family is beginning sacramental preparation, continuing formation, or entering the Catholic Church, we're here to help you find the right path. Explore the programs below to learn where you or your child can begin or continue the journey of faith.
CONFIRMATION
For young Catholics preparing to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit.
Confirmation formation helps young people deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, understand the Catholic faith, discover the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and prepare to live as active disciples within the Church.
Who is it for? Baptized Catholic youth who have received First Holy Communion and have not yet been confirmed.
OCIA FOR CHILDREN & TEENS
For children and teens ages 7–17 who need Baptism or other Sacraments of Christian Initiation.
Through age-appropriate formation, young people learn about Jesus, Scripture, prayer, the Sacraments, and life in the Catholic Church while preparing to receive the Sacraments appropriate to their journey.
Who is it for? Children and teens who are not baptized, were baptized in another Christian tradition, or need help determining the appropriate path toward full initiation.
OCIA FOR ADULTS
For adults who want to explore the Catholic faith or complete their Christian initiation.
OCIA is a journey of prayer, learning, discernment, and community for adults who want to discover the Catholic faith and prepare for Baptism, Confirmation, and/or Holy Communion as appropriate.
Who is it for? Adults who are unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, baptized Catholic but have not completed initiation, or are simply interested in learning more about becoming Catholic.

SACRAMENTAL DOCUMENTS
Families preparing for the Sacraments may be asked to provide sacramental records, including Baptism and First Holy Communion certificates.
If documents are required for your child, instructions for submitting them will be provided during the preparation process.
CLASSES & SCHEDULE
View class dates, sacramental preparation schedules, important celebrations, and other dates throughout the 2026–2027 formation year. Please check the schedule regularly for updates or changes.
SUNDAY MASS & PARISH LIFE
Faith Formation extends beyond the classroom. Families are expected to participate in Sunday Mass and help their children grow in prayer and the life of the parish.
