Who We Are
The Legion of Mary is a worldwide Catholic lay apostolic organization dedicated to serving the Church through prayer, evangelization, and works of mercy under the guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
At St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, our English-speaking praesidium, Our Lady Queen of Angels, brings together faithful Catholics who seek to grow closer to Jesus Christ through devotion to His Blessed Mother.
Through prayer, personal visits, charitable outreach, and spiritual service, our members strive to bring Christ's love, compassion, and hope to those in our parish and surrounding community.
Our Mission & Works
Visiting the Sick and Homebound
Following the example of Christ's compassion and love, members of the Legion of Mary visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and those who are sick or homebound.
Through personal visits, prayer, companionship, and spiritual encouragement, we seek to bring comfort and hope to those who may feel isolated or alone.
Our ministry also supports Communion services led by a deacon and brings Holy Communion to those who request it, through authorized ministers.
Serving Those in Need
Following Christ's call to love and serve our neighbors, the Legion of Mary reaches out to individuals experiencing homelessness through acts of compassion and charity.
Every other month, our members prepare and distribute food and essential personal care items to those in need.
Through these works of mercy, we seek not only to provide practical assistance but also to share the dignity, kindness, and love that every person deserves as a child of God.
The Traveling Pilgrim Virgin
Invite the Blessed Virgin Mary into your home through the Legion of Mary's Traveling Pilgrim Virgin ministry.
Upon request, members of the Legion of Mary will bring a statue of Our Blessed Mother to your home, joining you and your family in prayer and the recitation of the Holy Rosary.
Our members will also provide the necessary prayers so your family can continue this beautiful devotion, fostering a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through His Blessed Mother.
